I agree with you: who would have thought the term musicast was anything but generic? It's simply a concatenation of two common words, music and cast, no different than broadcast, simulcast, podcast, or any number of other terms. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'd say call their bluff. Why are they represented by a Canadian law firm? It would be very expensive to fight a battle in the courts over this across borders. They apparently have no viable product, no website, and noone has heard of them. They can't want to spend a lot of money to defend what they aren't using, even if they do have the rights to it. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;And it's not like you're getting rich off the use of their precious trademark - you're a podcaster after all!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'd make them ante up and do more than just send a threat letter before I gave up. Then I'd change it to Miami Valley Music Podcast and thumb my nose at 'em!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I wonder if they are suing Yamaha over their use of the word? (Yamaha Musicast MCX-A10 Digital Audio Terminal) Or ARE they Yamaha?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Oh well, what's in a name, anyway?</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">DocWu</dc:creator><pubDate>Thu, 13 Apr 2006 12:53:10 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
